A Ryan & Son ltd are purveyors of fine meat and pies and have been a traditional family run Butchers and pie makers for more than 50 years.

Paddy and Sue Ryan have been running the business since 1983 along with their sons Mike and Sam Ryan since early 2000. More recently Mikes Wife Amber has joined the business in 2014.

We pride ourselves on being a traditional butcher and pie maker. We make all our own pastry and we use all natural ingredients, sourcing our supplies as locally as possible. We produce a wide range of products including pork pies, gravy pies, quiches and individual savoury items, as well as our new additions to the range, sweet puddings and baked goods, that are made on site and cooked fresh daily. We also cure our own bacon and make our all own sausage along with producing the majority of our cooked meat range.

Our friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff are here to serve you all year round, catering for all your requirements ranging from day to day items to catering for special events.

Cheese of the WeekThis week we’re focusing on Waterloo, which is a cheese made by Village Maid Cheese.Waterloo is a semi soft cheese made from pasteurised Guernsey Cows milk. It’s made using a washed curd method which dilutes to the acidity to achieve a gentle mellow flavour.
